Christina Lutter

Vocals, fiddle, tin whistle

Born in Thuringia, Christina has been playing violin and flute since she was six years old. At thirteen, she discovered a passion for the music of Ireland. Since then, she has developed a remarkable virtuosity in her authentic fiddle and whistle playing and performs regularly on the folk music circuit in Germany. She is a professional educator and lives with her husband and two children in Dresden. Her smooth voice has been featured in various formations, including the Irish folk band FLAXMILL, which made a name for itself in Germany and even in Ireland. In 2004, together with Stefan Johansson from Sweden, she founded the folk duo STRÖMKARLEN (later a trio). Since 2010, she has also played regularly during Advent as part of the Scandinavian Christmas program JULVISOR >> in the Dresden quintet of the same name.
